Mum and I went to Maryke and Justin's engagement party this evening, though we left at 9:30, as the lights from the disco were giving Mum a migraine and she was bored out of her brain. Not many people spoke to us, even a lot of those I'm friends with at work, which was rather disconcerting, and if it hadn't been for Daniel, who kept coming back to us, and Dom's parents, who sat with us and gave me New York tips (his dad used to live there), we wouldn't have spoken to anyone the whole time we were there. I hate parties, and now I hate them even more.
I'm feeling really low today, especially after the high of last night's concert, which *rocked*. On looking through my photos this morning I've found that most of them are awful, and even the video clips are poor, with the sound being very distorted by the sheer colume level in the arena. This is why I preferred Milton Keynes Bowl as a concert venue!
I can't remember feeling this low, this often, before the last few months. I'm *way* over-emotional, and either feel like doing absolutely nothing and sleeping my life away, or at other times, doing stupid things like scrubbing the kitchen floor, on my hands and knees, at 2am. Which I did the other day.
I'm off to browse the net for a few hours before bed. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that last night's party didn't go as well as you might have hoped :-(
You are like me, in that you hate parties so I can understand how you feel about parties in general.
Still, at least you went and *showed* your face!
I think I would have chickened out from the start, lol.
Sorry to hear that you are feeling rather down today. Especially after the *high* of the concert.
Try and keep your chin up though. You *know* that this current frame of mind *will* pass..
Until then, look after yourself...
Hugs,
Lins xx
PS: GREAT May Day Photos! Just had a look at them now ;-)
Couldn't leave any comments on your photo's though as I am not a member of Flickr...
xx
You take some wonderful pictures... looking forward to your New York ones, I am off to NY in December ;)
Hi Lins!
Thanks for the compliments about my May Day pics! I was a bit dubious about them as it was such a dull grey day, but a little play in Photoshop did wonders! No problem about the Flickr comments, I know that only members can comment!
As for the party, I probably shouldn't expect too many people to stop and chat, after all, most of them are busy doing what normal partygoers do - dancing and mingling! LOL. I'm fine today - still feeling a bit 'flat' but that's all,
Hugs,

Hi Alison,
Thanks for your compliments about my pics! I'm so excited about New York -
you must be as well! We're going at the height of summer, but I'd far rather go in December, like you!
Your own pics are pretty good - Alfie's a great subject! I love his floppy ear!
Hi Kirstie,
Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better today.
Just been catching up on your MySpace page as it's been ages since I read any of your *blog* entries there.
I read that your IQ is in the genius level?
Blimmey, in the spirit of a quote from *Wayne's World*
"I am not worthy, I am not worthy" LOL (of your friendship)
xx
What an earth are you doing talking to someone of my low-intelligence???
Well, I may have a high IQ, but I have *absolutely* no common sense at all, and my Mum is frequently heard to utter sentences beginning "How can someone with your intelligence .... " or "Why don't you *use* your brain for once ..." LOL. I think it's atrophied from lack of use since I left school to be honest LOL.
And you are *not* of low-intelligence! Trust me - I work retail. I *know* low-intelligence when I see it ... :-)

I couldn't even tell you what IQ meant, lol. (I do really, just in case you are wondering lol).
Atrophied? See, I wouldn't even think of using such a BIG word ;-)
Sorry, I'm in a sarky mood tonight(as if you hadn't already guessed).
Perhaps I'd better crawl back into my hole and sleep it off...
xx
LOL. I know that feeling Lins! I did debate whether to say "atrophied" or just "shrunk"! I'm actively trying to expand my vocabulary though, so that's my reasoning!
xx
Haha - Just sour grapes with me I guess as I desperately need to expand my vocabulary!
Just can't be bothered, lol.
I occasionally flick through the dictionary, but rarely get any further than the A's...
