This week sucked because
- I found out Elsie is out of the neurological ward and back at the hospital in Lewes - but they'd found a second tumour.
- I walked into a brick wall, scraped my hand and wrist, and now it's septic and sore.
- Yesterday I developed a sore throat, by last night it felt like my throat was stuffed with razor blades, and now I have *another* full blown cold. Does my body *wait* for me to have holiday coming up, before it gets ill?!
- I have a lump on my lower calf that's been there for a few years, which I thought was a cyst. Now it's painful and my whole lower leg hurts when I walk more than a few minutes.
- I just droped a fork on my foot which hit my toes tines down, and now I have sore, bruised toes.
- Last week at work I fell up the stairs carrying the scratchcards dispenser, and my foot was swollen and bruised. It *still* hurts.
This week *didn't* suck, because
- The new Bon Jovi album, "Lost Highway" was released on Monday. It's a bit different, and definitely country-influences, and I *love* it.
- My tickets for Bon Jovi at the O2 Arena next Sunday arrived!
- Richie Sambora is out of rehab and should definitely be playing at the O2! Yay!
All in all, it's better for me to be ill now, than after Friday, when I have a week's holiday. And *definitely* better to have a sore throat today than next Sunday, when I will need full voice for the concert!

Oh dear, it sounds as if you have really been in the wars of late :-(
I do hope that you'll be feeling tons better in time for your week off work!
Look after yourself...
Hugs,
Lins xx
Awww sorry you got ill, I am determined not to get sick before Sweden and I am currently over dosing on Vitamin C! I also love BJ new album, I downloaded it, it’s pretty good and I so wish I was going to the concert next week!
Get better soon xxx
Hi Lins,
Yep, it's not been my week! I'm clumsy at the best of times though, so walking into a wall, dropping the fork, and tripping up the stairs were all more than likely my own fault! My foot's stopped hurting now, and the toe isn't sore today, plus my hand is less sore too, so that's all good!
My cold's developed more now, but the sore throat has eased, so I'm much happier today!
Hugs,
Kirstie

Hi Alison,
I *always* mean to take Vitamin C regularly, but never remember! I must try and boost my immune system though, as it's only 9 weeks to New York, and I don't want to be ill for that!
So you like Bon Jovi too, huh? I was lucky enough to see them live at milton Keynes last year (review is in the June 2006 archives if you're interested) and they were *fantastic*. Can't wait 'til Sunday!
Kirstie
