Eight Legged Foe

I just found a spider crawling along the wall above my desk. Thankfully I had a box of tissues on the desk and was able to stay calm, squash it, and dispose of it, but when I told Mum just now she said it was nowhere near as big as either of the two she's recently killed in the living room and on the outside of the French doors.

We get very few spiders here, so to have three like that in less than a week has got me really freaked out, and now I'm sitting here shaking and close to tears. And I've gone and put my shoes on. At least if I step on a mutant giant univited arachnid visitor it'll get squashed!
