Brighton in the rain ...

Today I went into Brighton with Daniel, and we met Maryke and Eszmey there. It was dull and grey, with that fine rain that gets you wetter than you realise. By the time we got there Maryke had already been there for a while, had just fed Eszmey and was hungry herself, as was I, so we made our way to KFC for lunch. Unhealthy, I know, and I actually wish I'd had the salad instead of the Variety meal ... way too stodgy for my tastes now.

I ended up buying a 12"x12" scrapbook album in WHSmith at £5.99 instead of £11.99, as well as a pack of five refill pages at £2.49 instead of £4.99, which was a bit of a bargain. I also picked up three packs of 6"X4" glossy photo paper in Poundland, as well as some headphones and a few blank DVDs. Lastly, when we got back to Lewes I got the first in the new "Movie Musicals" partwork series, which was "Westside Story" this fortnight. I shall probably subscribe to that each fortnight as I love musicals, and would like to build up the DVD collection.

I picked up a birthday card for Eszmey as it's her first birthday tomorrow - I can't *believe* she's one already! Where does the time go?

All in all a successful day out, and for under £35 as well. Though since i spent £475 last Saturday I think that's a very good thing!
