Everybody's Changing (Keane)
When Daniel and I went to Dublin in May 2004, the song "Everybody's Changing" by Keane was a recent release, and it was playing *everywhere*. Walking past a pub or bar, or into almost any shop, would mean we heard it, and I wasn't happy. I didn't like the song, and I wanted to hear "my" music, the familiar songs that I already knew and liked.
Since we came home, so almost two years now, Keane's popularity has meant that I still hear the song all the time - probably at *least* once a day on my local radio station, and often in shops etc. The difference? I actually started listening to the lyrics and the arrangement at some point along the way, and it's really an amazing song. But more than that, it brings back so many good memories of those three days in Dublin, a city that I'm completely in love with. It was the first time I'd been abroad, first time I'd flown, first time I'd stayed in a hotel, and so many other things as well. I have an instant "Dublin 04" flashback whenever I hear the song now, so I decided to liven up my blog a little with the video. Which I'm about to watch. Again. :-) Just click the link above to visit the VideoCodeZone site and see the vid :)
